Request a Payment
Black Lives Matter New Hampshire handles payments on behalf of the projects we fiscally sponsor. Choose the request type that fits your situation below. Finance reviews every request, collects any required tax paperwork, approves it, and issues payment from here — so you don't have to chase anything down. If you're not sure which form to use, start with the descriptions under each option or if it’s any changes please email finance@blmnh.org.
A few things that keep payments moving:
New honorarium recipients and vendors will be asked to complete a Payment Authorization Form & W-9 so we can meet IRS reporting requirements. Please send those links to your recipients and vendors and CC finance@blmnh.org on those email notifications when possible.
Please submit requests with as much lead time as possible — most payments are issued on a regular bi-weekly cycle once approved.
Questions about a pending payment? Email finance@blmnh.org with the recipient or vendor name.
Honorarium Payment
Use this if: you're paying an individual for their time, expertise, or participation — a speaker, facilitator, performer, panelist, or advisor. Honoraria are payments to a person for a service, not reimbursements for money they spent.
Who submits: the project lead requesting the payment.
What you'll need: the recipient's full legal name / business name, a short description of the service, the date of service, and the amount. The payment will only process after the date the service.
Invoice / Vendor Payment
Use this if: a business, contractor, or vendor sent an invoice that needs to be paid — venue rentals, professional services, equipment, printing companies, and other suppliers.
Who submits: the project lead
What you'll need: the vendor's legal name and email, the invoice number and date, a description of the goods or services, the amount due, the payment due date, and the invoice itself uploaded in the form.
Reimbursement
Use this if: someone paid out of pocket for an approved expense and needs to be paid back — travel, supplies, materials, meals, registration, postage, printing, and similar costs.
Who submits: the project lead
What you'll need: who's being reimbursed, a description and business purpose, the date(s) of the expense, the total amount, and itemized receipts uploaded in the form. Reimbursements can't be processed without receipts.
