We will be honoring Black, Indigenous and Person of Color community members older than 14 years old from all walks of life; artists, educators, activists, entrepreneurs, inventors, musicians, students, etc., that have made contributions to benefit the New Hampshire!

The event will be taking place on April 5th at 5pm at The Office Lounge in Dover, New Hampshire!

Open Mic Night Fundraiser

Join BLM NH at 3S Artspace for an Open Mic & Dance Fundraiser in support of their Youth Scholarship Fund. Hosted by Jamie Grogran and Lionel Loveless, you'll enjoy an evening of powerful performances, great music, and lively dancing while contributing to a meaningful cause during Black History Month.

Leslie Odom Jr

An Evening with Leslie Odom Jr at the Music Hall!

Come to the Music Hall in Portsmouth at 8pm on June 10th to see Leslie Odom Jr!

Leslie Odom, Jr. is a multifaceted, award-winning vocalist, songwriter, author, and actor, known for his breakout role as the original Aaron Burr in the smash hit Broadway musical Hamilton. With a career that spans all performance genres, he has received recognition with Tony and Grammy Awards as well as Emmy and, most recently, two Academy Award nominations for his excellence and achievements in Broadway, television, film, and music. He made his Broadway debut in RENT at the age of 17. His most recently starred in Johnson’s highly anticipated sequel to Knives Out, Glass Onion. Additional film and television credits include the Disney+ filmed musical performance of the original Broadway production of Hamilton, the limited series Love in the Time of Corona, which he executive produced and co-starred opposite Nicolette Robinson, Harriet, Murder on the Orient Express, Only, Red Tails, and Smash. 

Odom starred in the critically acclaimed Amazon film adaptation of One Night in Miami…, in which he performed the songs of legendary singer Sam Cooke. His portrayal of the soul icon and musical performance of the original song “Speak Now” was met with widespread praise and critical acclaim, including an Oscar nomination. He starred in The Many Saints of Newark, a prequel to David Chase’s Award-winning HBO series The Sopranos that was released in theaters and on HBO Max in October 2021, and also hosted CBS’s “The Tony Awards Present: Broadway’s Back!” special live concert event. He has performed at the White House, Super Bowl, and on hallowed stages such as Lincoln Center, Rockefeller Center, and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Black Lives Matter Seacoast Youth Division is proud to host their "Educate the Educators" event along side with the Portsmouth Equality Club, TODAY (May 17th) from 6:00 to 7:30pm at Portsmouth High School. The goal for the night is to learn about the importance of youth activism and DEIJ in the classroom!. The panel of great high school youth will be moderated by Kevin Pajaro-Mariñez, co-lead of BLM Seacoast's Racial Equity Team and Assistant Director at PEA! This event is free for all to attend in person and over zoom.

Educate the Educators

Black Lives Matter Seacoast Youth Division is proud to host their "Educate the Educators" event along side with the Portsmouth Equality Club Wednesday, February 1st from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at Portsmouth High School! We hope to see all educators and administrators amongst the Seacoast attend!

The goal for the night is to discuss student experiences and comfort within the classroom while establishing greater awareness of the issues those with marginalized identities face in schools.

This panel will be moderated by Kevin Pajaro-Mariñez, co-lead of BLM Seacoast's Racial Equity Team and Assistant Director at PEA!

Celebration of Life for Quarius Dunham

Tecali Dunham has requested this information be shared, a hard decision, but to honor Quarius’s love for birthday parties and especially his own. The family has kept the reservation they had made for his birthday party with the hope that the party be filled in love and support for Quarius and his family. While this is called a “Celebration of Life” it is not his memorial service.

Celebrate #Juneteenth this year by participating in the first ever Juneteenth Walk in the Seacoast!

We along with Seacoast African American Cultural Center, Theater For The People, Green Acre: A Bahá’í Center of Learning with support from the NAACP Seacoast, is hosting this fantastic walk at 10:30am from the John Paul Jones Memorial Park in Kittery, Maine to the African American Burial Ground in Portsmouth, NH where a incredible band will be awaiting us!

At the Burial Ground, it will be performers and speakers! This will lead straight into the high energy, step performance, celebrating Black creativity called UPROAR hosted by Black Heritage Trail of New Hampshire & Theater for the People at 2pm at the Burial Ground!
