Aunties and Uncles Mentorship Program

The Aunties & Uncles Mentorship Program is designed to connect young people with mentors who reflect their identities, lived experiences, and hopes for the future. Our youth deserve guidance from adults who understand where they come from—people they can see themselves in, who can offer encouragement, honesty, and a steady presence as they navigate school, relationships, and community life. When young people have mentors who “get it,” they grow with more confidence, clarity, and support.

Mentors receive structured training and guidance, with formal onboarding scheduled for January to ensure every mentor feels prepared and equipped. Once matched, mentors are expected to meet with their mentee at least once a month, build a consistent and caring relationship, and join in group activities and community gatherings throughout the year. We provide ongoing support, check-ins, and resources to make sure every match feels set up for success.
